I have absolutely nothing to do today until work...

So I resort to taking pictures of my cats.

This is by far my most favorite painting ever.

I want to live in this world.

Whoever can guess what this is...

Gets a prize....maybe.

I came home from the gym today and started to trim my rabbit's claws. Tommy is a fierce one, and after much wiggling and grunting, he delicately but painfully nipped my neck. He did it really slowly, as if to test my reflexes. haha. I felt something like this:

"I bet 'cha dog poop tastes better than that!" - some fat kid...

While working on my translation work in preparation for the final, I'm watching "Honey, we're killing the kids!" which (since all of my readers aren't American) is a new show on TLC where they take fat parents with fat kids and use this computer program to show how disgusting and unhealthy they will look when they are 40 years old. They give them a three-week healthy eating/exercise regime to improve their lives. The part that makes my bowels cramp with laughter is how the simple task of cooking (which I consider almost an instinctive skill) is so foreign and scary to these people! This one woman stared at an avocado (one of my favorite fruits) and had absolutely NO idea what to do with it!!! Her sausage-like fingers struggled to crack the code that would allow her access to the squishy inner realm of the avocado. When they show the sloppy attempts at making a freshly cooked meal, it's clear that these people have never used anything in their kitchen besides the microwave. It suprises me that they can find the silverware... Anyway, these people make these delicious meals, with squid, or tofu, things I'm drooling over at home. To my horror, their gelatinous children gag and vomit. The parents scrunch up their faces. The only explanation I can think of is that their toxin-loaded bodies are actually REJECTING anything that doesn't have an 80% crap content! Only in America would one find such a shocking level of underdevelopment. This reminds me of the time when Ross and I were on the bus coming back from Bradford City Centre and this fat woman was giving her fat toddler coke in a baby bottle. Ok, I just realized that this rant was completely pointless and soley for the purpose of keeping me away from my work...ugh...back I go....I still have three essays to write...

Can you tell that I like my cat?

Since it was such a beautiful and sunny day, Fluff and I decided to celebrate it by having a nap party under a tent made out of my 'special blanket'. It was incredibly cozy and all sorts of awesome. It's too bad that my cameraphone doesn't take better pictures...

ADD

Instead of sleeping (I have to be up for work in four hours), I created this: a choppy photoshop rendition of my future tank.

Ross will enjoy this...

I have decided that to cheer myself up, I need to pick a hobby that is easy to sustain. I have many other hobbies, but school and work stop me from enjoying them as often as I would like. Lately, I have been toying with the idea of getting serious about fish-keeping. I love my fish. I have four spotted cories who are the sweetest little guys ever. Besides the mandatory filters, fake plants, and air bubbler, I don't do much else except feed them, change the water, and fall asleep watching them swim. With the recent purchase of a proper hood and not-so-proper light, I am even more inspired to buy a heater, another filter to replace the one that broke (I keep two running, usually) buy a master water testing kit, so I can control the Ph levels and keep weaker fish alive, buy a light that is made for live plants, and finally....*drum role please* adopt some neon tetras, guppies and a few more cories. I need fish that are small and have similar water requirements to my cories. I am so excited. This is a hobby that I can enjoy without loads of time commitments. Just once a week for daily enjoyment. I also want to move my fish tank from my desk by the window to a stand by my bed. That way, I can have the fancy light on and actually see it! Then when Ross comes to visit me, he can enjoy the fish, too! Maybe he would like to help me pick out my fishies?

Ross, this website is for you, dude: http://www.ratemyfishtank.com

Just killing time...

waiting for Ross to call. Always keeps a lady waiting, he does.

Exciting highlights in the Life of Heather:

-I bought a REAL hood with light for my fish tank. Good-bye rusting mesh lid for fish-tanks that have hamsters in them! Hello garish super-market fluorescent light (but it CAME with the hood!!!)!

I was hoping for this look:

But I fear that this may be closer to the truth...

Hairtcut continued...

Right before I was getting ready to leave, Crystal's completely stoned neighbor Ian (who she had never spoken to before) walked in preceeded by the tiniest little dog ever! We didn't even care that there was some creepy fucker in the apartment! This dog was the answer to all of the world's problems! Her name is Foxy. I tried to steal her.

Haircut.

Today, I got my hair cut and had Crystyle work her coloring magic. I now have "random" (but not really random) pieces of coloring. It looks really nice like a peacock, but unfortunately my cellphone does not take the best photos for intricate detail.

P.S. I had to delete some previous posts because for some reason, they didn't display right in Explorer...the sidebar is still messed up, though...
