It has come to my attention that Matel has released a new line of MyScene Barbies, called "MyScene My Bling-Bling". After I got off the floor from laughing myself silly, I realized with horror that Matel is grooming the next generation of women into an army of....
...tacky, tacky clubbers. Upon seeing this repugnant pest drunkily searching for a place to let loose a shower of electric blue vomit, I, too, become violently nauseated and I am consumed by a seething hate. A HATE TO LAST THE AGES!!! I never would have thought in my wildest dreams that little girls would aspire to be this vile creature of the night.
At any rate, these dolls have lips that are bigger than their foreheads.
I suppose I can appreciate the magical draw of sparkly things. Being half-magpie as a child, anything glittery won my heart. Stare and stare for hours, I would...Its hard to say if I would have noticed the social connotations of these bling-bling dolls. I probably wouldn't have thought much, since my brain would have been turned to mush by how glittery their giant lips were.
